Singer Billy Joel and his super-hot, very young wife, Katie Joel, stopped by the March 24 Oprah in this video clip. In this clip, they discuss, among other things, Katie Joel’s relationship with Billy Joel’s (and ex-wife Christie Brinkley) daughter, Alexa Ray Joel.

While Billy Joel entertained the audience with his musical performance, Katie Lee promoted her new book, The Comfort Table, which will be released this spring. The cookbook will include great recipes for family favorites such as Meatloaf and Peach Cobbler.

In decades of performing, Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame member Billy Joel has done just about every big venue out there.

Today, he chalks up a new one, and you bet he’ll score some points with the his sweetie for this one.

He gets to have an “a-ha” moment with his better half and the queen of TV, as he and his wife Katie Lee Joel make an appearance together on “Oprah.”

“Oprah” airs at 4 p.m. on WSAZ and at 7 p.m. on MyZ.

The Joels will give Oprah’s audience a behind-the-scenes look at their New York City home.

Billy will play a song for the audience, and Cabell County native and culinary expert, Katie Lee, will share some recipes from her new book, “The Comfort Table.”

Set to hit bookstores in May, “The Comfort Table” is already getting a good splash of press with mentions on the Food Network that tabs Katie Lee as “one skinny girl who can cook her butt off.”

The Miami University grad who brought her culinary talents to Bravo’s “Top Chef,” a column in Hampton’s Magazine, a special correspondent position for Extra and a seat on the judges’ panel of “Iron Chef America,” doesn’t stray far from the foods of home in “The Comfort Table.”

It’s filled with more than 125 recipes many from her family, as well as updates on those children classics she loved growing up in West Virginia.

The book includes such Southern staples like fried green tomatoes, chicken and dumplings, peach cobbler, meatloaf and the quintessential pulled pork BBQ, which stand alongside contemporary classics like roasted carrot and ginger soup, citrus-tarragon mahi-mahi and dijon and pistachio-crusted rack of lamb.

Katie Lee Joel was last in the area for a public appearance in September 2006 when she put on a cooking clinic as part of the Marshall Artists Series’ “Kindred Spirits: A Celebration of Food and Drink.”

She will have a book signing of her new book, which features photos by Miki Duiserhof and a foreword by Paula H. Deen, at Borders Books Music and Cafe at the Huntington Mall on May 10.

MEAT LOAF RECIPE:

“I like to call meat loaf ‘man loaf’ because it’s every man’s favorite dish,” Katie says. “My husband loves when I make meat loaf, and it makes the best leftovers. We love it the next day on white bread with mayonnaise.”

• 1 Tbsp. olive oil
• 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced (about 3/4 cup)
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 1 medium red pepper, finely diced (about 1 cup)
• 1 bay leaf
• 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
• 2 tsp. chopped fresh thyme
• 2 pounds lean ground beef
• 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
• 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
• 1 cup ketchup
• 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
• 2 tsp. kosher salt
• 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Preheat the oven to 350°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spray lightly with oil.

Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onions, garlic and bay leaf until the onions are tender, about 3 minutes. Add the red pepper and cook until the red pepper is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in the parsley and thyme and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove pan from the heat and let the onion mixture cool. Discard the bay leaf.

In a large bowl, combine the beef, eggs, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of ketchup, the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and the cooled vegetables. Use your hands to mix everything together.

Transfer the mixture to the center of the baking sheet and form into a loaf. Coat the meat loaf with the remaining 1/2 cup ketchup.

Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours (depending on the shape of your loaf), until the meat loaf is firm. Let set for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Rumors hit the Net on Monday that a sex tape featuring Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis on its way after supposedly ‘leaked’ photos from the video began appearing on Hollywood gossip sites.

The photos, one of which is linked to onCrazyDaysandNights.com, feature a dark-haired woman performing a sex act on an unidentified man. The woman in the picture does appear to look quite a bit like Davis. However, similar photos featuring other stars in the past have been found to be look-alikes or Photoshop-created fakes.

According to several gossip reports, the picture is one of several being used to market a sex tape featuring Davis. HollywoodGrind.com reports at least one pay porn site is rumored to have posted multiple photos from the video. The web site in question, according toScottFayner.com, is ClubTaylorRain.com and more still clips from the sex tape are supposedly posted in the site’s “members section.”

However, HollywoodTuna.com reports that subscribers say they have not found any more “Davis” pictures on the site or any further information about a possible sex tape.

Marketing ploy to get people to pay out to sign up for a porn site or impending scandal for the formerly squeaky clean Davis? Information is still sketchy, but it should be noted that Taylor Rain, the porn star featured on ClubTaylorRain.com, is an attractive brunette who might just look a bit like Kristen Davis with the right lighting.

SEX and the City star Kristin Davis is the latest celebrity to be ensnared in a sex tape scandal, weeks after a similar scandal hit Gene Simmons of KISS.

The claims about Davis have surfaced on celebrity website What Would Tyler Durden Do.

Davis and Simmons join a long line of sex tape celebs, also including Paris Hilton, Rob Lowe, and Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.

Porn star Ron Jeremy has claimed some stars deliberately release intimate tapes of themselves to revive their flagging careers.

“I love the excuse they use: ‘Oh, I don’t know how they got a hold of it!’ It’s such a big joke now. Any celebrity that’s not doing so good, they jump by having a good sex scandal.”

Is there a Kristin Davis Sex tape?  The adorable little starlet that once ruled Melrose Place and is now busy working on and promoting the feature film for Sex and the City (as Charlotte York of course) and she is reportedly shown in some sort of a tape where she is involved with a man and of course it is being shopped around and there are photos of the tape that are allegedly being  leaked online.

Is it for real?  The Daily Telegraph, Australia has the report calling it a scandal.  There are still photos that have been leaked online and the reports are churning through the Hollywood blogs at a high rate of speed.  Color me skeptical, the photos look a bit like her but I’m not convinced.

The Telegraph notes the obvious and reports if its true, Davis will join an infamous list of stars who’ve had tapes released into the public arena Crazy Days and Nights also has this report and a link to one of the still photos that is allegedly of Kristin.  The first link is safe but if you keep clicking it eventually won’t be.

May will claim that this is timed to promote the film while others will claim it is a cruel hoax aimed at Kristen.   Are denials on the way from the Davis camp?  
 

Audrina Patridge took her clothes off in an effort to become a model before she appeared on MTV’s The Hills with Lauren Conrad. Splash News said:

Sources say the beauty from a wealthy Orange County family was a natural in front of the camera and loved every second of the shoot at an LA mansion. They told how she was thrilled with the results and particularly the raunchy schoolgirl pics.

But now the pictures she urged a photographer friend to take when she was 19 could come back to haunt her. A source told how Audrina had had enough of posing for bikini shots and decided she wanted to be a glamour model.

“She was determined to go ahead with it, even though she was warned to wait and see how her modelling went before doing t*pless stuff. She was always comfortable in front of the camera and wasn’t shy or nervous about doing a n*de shoot.”

But Audrina’s hopes of impressing glamour magazine editors were shattered when Playboy showed no interest in her pictures.

The insider said: “Looking at the pictures you’d say they were crazy to turn her down. She looks absolutely sensational.”

Audrina looks great. Hugh Hefner should give her another chance. She doesn’t even need photoshop work, like many of the female celebrities he tries to get for his magazine.

Audrina said, through her rep., in response to the pictures of her without clothes on being posted on the Internet:

“I took these photos years ago when I was just out of high school and beginning to model. I was young and very trusting of others and I didn’t know to protect myself. It is a lesson learned, for myself, and hopefully for the young girls who look up to me.”

The 22-year-old Los Angeles, CA native posed nude when she was 19-years-old in an attempt to appear in Playboy — and while the photos never made it into the magazine, they recently surfaced on the celebrity blog What Would Tyler Durden Do.

“I took these photos years ago when I was just out of high school and beginning to model. I was young and very trusting of others and I didn’t know to protect myself,” said Patridge in a statement released by her representative and obtained by TMZ.com. “It is a lesson learned, for myself, and hopefully for the young girls who look up to me.”

The images include Patridge appearing topless while wearing a school-girl skirt and knee-high socks; standing in a hot tub wearing nothing but a cowboy hat; and being completely naked while in a swimming pool.

Sources at Splash News told What Would Tyler Durden Do that Patridge “had had enough of posing for bikini shots.”

“She was determined to go ahead with it, even though she was warned to wait and see how her modeling went before doing topless stuff,” the Splash News source told the celebrity blog. “She was always comfortable in front of the camera and wasn’t shy or nervous about doing a nude shoot.”

Despite her comfort level, the pics never made it to Playboy.

“Looking at the pictures you’d say they were crazy to turn her down,” the source told What Would Tyler Durden Do. “She looks absolutely sensational.”

Since she became a regular The Hills cast member upon meeting Conrad in L.A. during the MTV show’s first season, Patridge has appeared scantily clad in Maxim.

MTV’s hit show, “The Hills,” has been causing a lot of commotion in the tabloid industry over the last year. First was the feud between Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag, then reports of Conrad’s sex tape, and now online pictures have surfaced showing Audrina Patridge, both topless and fully nude. Patridge says the photos were taken right after high school when she was aspiring to be a Playboy Bunny model and she “deeply regrets” them now.

More and more young girls are turning to nudity as a form of getting exposure. Vanessa Hudgens, the star of High School Musical, was recently caught up in a similar scandal as well. Teens idolize these girls and when they see them turning to nudity, they think it might be a solution for them as well. If you are a teen and thinking about baring all for the camera, think twice:

1. Think about your future: Patridge thought that nudity was the only way to fame because she wasn’t getting much attention based off of a more subtle approach of bikini shoots. At that time she didn’t know that she would become a huge and well known star on “The Hills.” One of the best things to do before letting someone snap provocative shots of you is to think about how you would feel looking back 5, 10, even 20 years later. You might want to think about the fact that if you do make it big or for some reason end up in the middle of a political arena or a controversy, these photos can work against you and make people think less of you as a person.

2. Think about your family: It is easy to think that just because it is your body, you can do whatever you want with it, but make sure to think about all the people these pictures will affect. With the speed and distance the Internet covers, you can not be sure that these pictures will stay contained. How do you think your dad or brothers will feel about seeing naked pictures of you? Do you think your grandparents will be proud? And mostly, imagine in 25 years when you have children of your own and they ask about these photos or your own daughter wants to pose nude and you don’t think it is appropriate. Teens tend not to listen to their parents in the first place, let alone when the parent is being hypocritical.

3. Try to find another way to be successful in the industry: Patridge tried bikini modeling as her entrance before posing nude. Try exploring as many different facets of the business before getting naked. Go see clothing designers that are up and coming and need models, perform go-sees for already well known designers, star in a community play, send your photo to magazines like Teen Vogue, YM, and Seventeen.

4. Focus more on developing skill rather than time on image: Patridge’s overall goal was to become an actress and she thought her looks would take her there. She was so focused on that being her in that she put all her energy into modeling. Perhaps if she would have spent more time on acting classes and researching the business, she would have been noticed without nudity.

5. If you do decide on nude photos, make sure they are classy and timeless: If none of these tips seem to be of consequence to you and you think the right way to go is by taking nude photos, make sure they are ones that you will be proud of. Timeless classic looks like Marilyn Monroe’s last photo shoot or even subtle nudity like Janet Jackson’s album cover can go a long way. Research different photographers and find one that takes pictures in the style that you like rather than them posing you the way that they want to shoot you. Yes, they put their name on the photo, but it’s your face and body the world sees in the end.

You may or may not be sick of hearing about this story, but I feel obligated to cover it—each and every developments, with plenty of pictures each time—because she just can’t stop exemplifying the microcap hype plays that have made me wealthy and will make you that way, too—once you fully understand them.

AA Dupe fits the model perfectly—unknown skyrockets into the spotlight overnight (stock price), million of views (trading volume), other celebrities get involved (partnership/financing), but the stock’s risen so much that the hype can’t last…thanks to the remaining interest/commotion, the stock price doesn’t collapse, it hangs near its highs, but now old videos from the past (skeletons from the past—bitter shareholders who want out) wreak havoc on this newfound star and so begins the inevitable descent. Scarily similar!

Sure, I detail how I’ve profited from hundreds of these situations in my DVD, but apparently some/many of you have been scared off by the 20% restocking fee and the fact they must be returned “unused”!

The seedy Joe Francis’ empire, Girls Gone Wild, has made an offer to the most famous prostitute in America, 22-year-old Ashley Alexandra Dupre.

The hooker caught in the middle of the prostitution ring busted by the government that brought down New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has become a smash Internet sensation - and received a $1 million offer from Girls Gone Wild.

Ashley Dupre would be featured on a photo spread and tour.

“Her face is on the cover of every newspaper in the country,” Joe Francis said.

“It’s clear that the public wants to see more of [Ashley Dupre]. This is a serious offer and I hope she gets back to me right away.”

Francis wants Ashley Dupre (real name Ashley Youmans, or Ashley DiPietro, but known to Spitzer as “Kristen”) to share her side of the Spitzer story in print and DVD - though she wouldn’t have to pose nude - and tour with Girls Gone Wild.

Joe Francis is onto something for sure - Americans will waste money like nobody’s business. The aspiring singer has already made an estimated $200,000 from downloads of her terrible music, the New York Post reported Saturday.

As for the shady and moronic Eliot Spitzer, he resigned in shame. Lt. Governor David Paterson was sworn in as Governor of New York yesterday.

John Lennon’s former assistant May Pang has revealed that the ‘Beatles’

legend was a secret womaniser, and that he even cheated on her while they were seeing each other.

Lennon’s romance with Pang went on for about 18 months after his wife Yoko Ono set them up, in a bid to save her marriage.

Pang says that she and Lennon spent time in New York and Los Angeles during their relationship, where she caught the singer cheating twice.

“I know he had a couple of affairs. But he would come back. And when I found out, he’d say, ‘I’m sorry.’ And I forgave him. It was his insecurity. He was like, ‘I’m with somebody, am I making the right decisions?’ and he did something stupid, and he came back,”

Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“It was just one-night-stands. He had one in New York and one in L.A. I forgave him. Absolutely. It was one night. What was I going to do? It wasn’t something that carried on over and over and over again,” she added.

Fifty-seven-year-old Pang is promoting a book of rare Lennon photographs, Instamatic Karma, these days.

JOHN LENNON’s ex-girlfriend MAY PANG came within days of reuniting THE BEATLES during her 18-month relationship with the star. May Pang dated Lennon during his “lost weekend” in 1974 and 1975, after working as his assistant for three years. They came together after Yoko Ono encouraged them to date because her marriage to the rocker was faltering.

Pang claims it was her objective during their romance to reunite Lennon with his estranged writing partner Paul McCartney - and bring the Fab Four back together. And she insists she came close - Lennon was making plans to join McCartney in New Orleans when he suddenly returned to Yoko Ono. Pang says, “It was my goal at the end to get them back together. That’s what I wanted. We talked about reuniting the Beatles. At one point he wanted to do it. For the hell of it. Because there wasn’t any pressure, any contracts. He’d say, ‘That’d be fun.’

“Enough time had passed and he was enjoying himself performing with other musicians. It was fun again. John said to me one day, ‘What do you think if I start to write with Paul again?’ I said, ‘Are you kidding? that would be great.’ He asked me why? And I told him, ‘Solo-wise, you’re good. Together there’s something so magical you can’t beat.’ “They were talking about it originally for 1974, but everybody was busy. Then they talked about adding other musicians. Harry Nilsson wanted to be part of it, other people wanted to be part of it.

Pang claims any hope the Beatles had of reuniting died the day Lennon suddenly returned to live with Yoko Ono at New York’s Dakota Building. She says, “Yoko called him up one day. She had this method she had to help him quit smoking. He said, ‘I’ll be gone for a couple of hours. I’ll be back, we’ll go for dinner and talk about going to New Orleans.’” Lennon never came back and the Beatles plans died. But Pang insists he was serious about bringing back the Beatles: “He was really thinking about it. It was so fantastic.” Pang, 57, is currently promoting a book of rare Lennon photographs, Instamatic Karma.

Dennis Quaid said there was “blood everywhere” as doctors and nurses worked to save his newborn twins after they were given an overdose of a blood thinner.

“They were working on [my son] Boone, whose belly button would not stop bleeding. … Blood squirted across the room about six feet and landed on the wall,” the actor told CBS’ 60 Minutes.

The twin boy and girl born to Quaid and his wife, Kimberly, by a surrogate mother were mistakenly given an overdose of heparin, a blood thinner, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles last November.

“We all have this inherent thing that we trust doctors and nurses that they know what they’re doing,” Quaid said in his first at-length TV interview about the ordeal. “But this mistake occurred right under our noses.”

Quaid, 53, said the twins “were basically bleeding out at that point.”

In December, the Quaids sued Baxter Healthcare Corp., saying the drug maker was negligent in packaging different doses of the medicine in similar vials. 

While Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly are lucky that their twins are still with them today after a hospital-administered overdose of an adult blood thinner had them fighting for life in November, not all victims of medical mistakes are so lucky. In fact, according to a 2000 Food and Drug Administration article, 44,000-98,000 Americans die each year not from the medical conditions they checked in with, but from preventable medical errors.

The Quaid twins, Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone, had been admitted to the hospital shortly after birth for routine treatment of a staph infection. They were supposed to receive a dose of a pediatric blood thinner, but were instead given lethal doses of Heparin, which thinned their blood to a consistency like that of water, according to Quaid in a 60 Minutes Interview March 16.

According to the Institute of Medicine, medication errors result in more than 7,000 deaths each year just in hospitals, with thousands more in outpatient facilities. Kimberly and Dennis Quaid are launching a foundation with hopes of building awareness about medical malpractice and negligence and finding ways to eliminate it.

The FDA article lists some of the most common types of medication errors, according to the American Hospital Association:

*Incomplete patient information (not knowing about patients’ allergies, other medicines they are taking, previous diagnoses, and lab results, for example)
*Unavailable drug information (such as lack of up-to-date warnings)
*Miscommunication of drug orders, which can involve poor handwriting, confusion between drugs with similar names, misuse of zeroes and decimal points, confusion of metric and other dosing units, and inappropriate abbreviations.

*Lack of appropriate labeling as a drug is prepared and repackaged into smaller units
environmental factors, such as lighting, heat, noise, and interruptions, that can distract health professionals from their medical tasks.

What a rush! Charlie Rose Face Plants To Save His MacBook Air! Yeah, you read that headline right. Apple couldn’t pay for better press than this.

Viewers of the Charlie Rose show tonight were stunned to see the normally composed Rose looking like he’d just been in a bar fight. He has a very bad black eye and a bandage over part of his forehead. I contacted the show’s producers to hear what happened. Earlier today, they said, Rose tripped in a pothole while walking on 59th Street in Manhattan. He was carrying a newly purchased MacBook Air and made a quick (but ultimately flawed) decision while falling: sacrifice the face, protect the computer. “In doing so, he pretty much hit the pavement face first, unfortunately,” they said.

Luckily the MacBook Air survived the fall. “The Macbook Air is fine, he showed us the blood stains on it this morning.”

Rose, one of the hardest working journalists I’ve met, records multiple shows per day and cancellations are rare. Falling directly onto his face apparently doesn’t qualify as a good enough excuse to postpone a show.

By the way, Rose says he always has to have the newest gadgets as soon as possible. After we recorded an interview two weeks ago (see it here) he invited me to dinner along with Matt Rutherford, the show’s head tech guy.

He had three different cell phones out at various times - here’s a picture with a Blackberry, an iPhone and a…what is that? A Samsung?

In “Myles of Style,” Kim will tackle troubled rooms with her knack for designing for small spaces and for those on a tight budget. In each half hour episode, Myles will use her creativity and talent for design to help homeowners transform ordinary spaces into luxurious rooms.

“Myles of Style” will premiere with a special preview episode tonight at 10pm on HGTV. The series will continue airing on Thursdays at 8:30pm starting on March 20th.

America’s vote made her an HGTV Design Star, but now Kim Myles is ready to tackle troubled rooms with her imaginative spin on design and decor in her own HGTV show, Myles of Style.

Kim has lived in New York City for more than 10 years but it was her childhood in the suburbs that initially drove her to explore interior design as a personal interest. “Growing up in suburbia gave me an aversion to sameness,” she says. This hairdresser, who got her start designing her own clothing, jewelry and hats, has no formal design education but uses her city surroundings as inspiration in her design styles, which she describes as “global urban elegance.”

HGTV Design Star is a reality show that premiered Sunday, July 23, 2006 and aired new episodes on HGTV every Sunday night at 9 PM Eastern Daylight Time/Pacific Daylight Time, with encore presentations Thursdays at 8 PM E/P and Saturdays at 6 PM E/P.[1]

Each week the contestants participate in an interior design challenge, such as redecorating a New York apartment using a color (red, yellow, blue, or green) chosen at random or redecorating a small living room using only supplies bought from a camping store, cosmetics store, pet store, or auto parts shop.

The contestants compete for their own design show on HGTV. Each week the judges eliminate one or more designers by saying, “Your show has been cancelled.”

Due April 15th, E=MC² jumps from hip-hop-flavored jams like the Young Jeezy-assisted “Side Effects” to bright, mega-catchy stuff like the disco “That Chick.” The album also tosses in a couple of big-voiced ballads (”Bye Bye”, a piano-based song about losing someone close to you) and beats from big-name producers like Jermaine Dupri, Will.i.am and Scott Storch. In a notable departure from earlier albums, Carey sings in a lighter, less showy voice than we’re used to on a few tracks, including lead single “Touch My Body”. A horny jam about a “secret rendezvous,” the single was co-written by Tricky Stewart and The-Dream, the team that co-penned Rihanna’s “Umbrella.”
As previously reported, Mariah Carey has set April 15 as the release date for her 11th studio album album, E=MCІ. The first single, “Touch My Body” is already a hit, and the hilarious video featuring Jack McBrayer of 30 Rock is making the rounds as well.

Nate “Danja” Hills, who produced “Migrate” (featuring T-Pain), told Rolling Stone that the track “definitely opens up towards the end of the song and shows what Mariah does. It’s a different array of her vocal range on this record, but she keeps it pretty mid-range and then toward the end she lets loose. She was singing in the room, and I was just blown away by how good it sounded without her even trying.

It’s incredible, I see why she is who she is.”In other news, Mariah is one of the artists featured on Randy Jackson’s first solo album, Randy Jackson’s Music Club Vol. 1, due March 11.

Mariah Carey shot the cover of her forthcoming “E=MC2″ album at the New York City apartment building owned by Lenny Kravitz. According to the New York Daily News, Mimi took over the penthouse suite and roof at the Crosby St. location. “Arriving in a black Maybach with three SUVs in tow, the diva sported custom-made Van Cleef & Arpels diamond butterfly rings and Christian Louboutin heels,” reported columnists Rush & Malloy.

I don’t know how long this video will stay up, but for those of you who are lucky to catch this, check it out. Mariah performed her potential second single Migrate with T-Pain on yesterday’s episode of Saturday Night Live. I gotta say, I LOVE this song. Can’t wait till it leaks! This is the movie every girl who was in Junior high in the late seventies will vividly remember! The story about a young skater from a small Iowa town trying to make the Olympics against all odds and the tragedy that befalls her. Although a little sappy and often clichéd, this move is still enjoyable to watch. I know it is one of my wife’s favorites and she wasn’t even born yet when this film came out!

Colleen Dewhurst owns a small bowling alley with a skating rink in it and she coached young Lexie. Tom Skerritt played Lexie’s father. They wore both excellent in their respective parts. In my opinion, they are both very underrated actors.

Robby Benson did fine as Lexie’s boyfriend. He has been in many movies but I am not familiar with much of his work. As for Lynn Holly-Johnson, well she certainly has talent. She is a real skater and her looks and skating ability worked for this movie. She does get a little whiny though. In the film she did the following year, The Watcher in the Woods, one can see her limitations as an actress. I see her more as a skater than an actress. However, I have not seen her in any of her later movies.

I have been to the Waverly, Cedar Falls area in Iowa where this movie was filmed and it is a beautiful area. It made a great setting for this film. I especially liked the winter scenes.

This movie also had a very good musical score by Marvin Hamlisch. Of course, we all remember the theme song written by Hamlish and Carol Bayer-Sager and sung by Melissa Manchester.

Donald Wrye has done many made for T.V. movies. I remember a movie done by him called Born Innocent which starred Linda Blair. Her follow up film to The Exorcist. This was a very depressing and downbeat movie. One last comment I would like to make about Ice Castles is the film’s content.

It would have made a great family movie but their was too much swearing and the content of the relationships would not make this film appropriate for small children. I thought I might add this because this is a film young girls would like. Evidently, Lynn Holly-Johnson was asked to do a nude scene but she refused. To bad—She was kind of cute!
